Fixing the (0xc0150002) error

Here is the solution for this error:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002). Click OK to close the application.

If you went to the “Event Viewer” > “Windows Logs” > “Applications”.
You will see a more detailed error, it is saying:

Activation context generation failed for “*****”. Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture=”x86″,publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b”,type=”win32″,version=”9.0.21022.8″ could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

The solution is to install the required dependencies, which is the Visual C++ runtime components.

Notice that in some cases you might need to download a different version of the VC++ runtime libraries.

About this error:

This error happens usually on newly installed computers or laptops, specially that do not have allot of application installed, because those runtime files usually get installed with a wide variety of applications.

For example, Microsoft Office and Visual Studio, depending on the version you install, their setup include the runtime necessary to avoid this error.
